These terms govern the use of our services and the relationship between T&F Investigations and our valued clients. We believe in transparency, professionalism, and open communication every step of the way.
1. Terms of Service
By engaging the services of T&F Investigations, you ("the Client") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. These terms apply to all services rendered by T&F Investigations, whether initiated online, by phone, by email, or in person. Please be advised that complete, case-specific, and fully updated terms are provided to each client at the time of service agreement and contract signing. Any signed service agreement will take precedence over these general terms where the two conflict.
2. Privacy Policy
T&F Investigations is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of every client we serve. Confidentiality is not simply a policy — it is a core value of our business and the foundation of the trust we build with our clients.
All client information — including personal details, case information, communications, findings, and documentation — is held in the strictest confidence.
No client information will be disclosed to any third party without the express written consent of the client, or unless required by applicable law, court order, or legal process.
T&F Investigations does not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise share client data for commercial, marketing, or any other unauthorized purposes.
All personnel associated with T&F Investigations are bound by confidentiality obligations in the handling of all client information.
3. Services

T&F Investigations is licensed and insured in the states of Missouri and Illinois. All investigations are conducted by qualified professionals operating within the scope of their licensure. Please note that while our investigators will apply their full expertise and dedication to every case, results cannot be guaranteed, as investigators are only able to document and report what is observed during the course of an investigation. Outcomes depend on real-world conditions and factors that are beyond our control.
4. Payment & Fees
T&F Investigations maintains a straightforward and transparent fee structure. All applicable fees will be clearly outlined and agreed upon prior to the commencement of any services. The following general payment terms apply to all engagements:
Minimum Hours: A minimum of four (4) hours is required for all investigative services.
Payment Schedule: Payment is due in accordance with the terms agreed upon at the time of service contract execution.
Credit Card Processing Fee: A processing fee of three percent and half (3.5%) will be applied to all transactions completed by credit card.
Fee Transparency: All fees, rates, and applicable charges will be clearly communicated and agreed upon in writing before any services begin. There are no hidden fees.
5. Refund Policy
T&F Investigations values fairness and clarity in all financial matters. Our refund policy is designed to be equitable to both the client and our team, recognizing that investigative work involves significant time, planning, and preparation from the very beginning of a case.
Pre-Service Refunds: A refund may be issued if a service has not yet begun and no research, onboarding, or preparatory work has taken place.
Non-Refundable Hours: Once any research, planning, communication, or investigative activity has commenced, the hours invested are non-refundable. Time dedicated to case development, coordination, and preparation represents a real investment of professional resources on behalf of the client.
Unused Hours: If an investigator does not utilize all hours that have been purchased by the client, T&F Investigations will contact the client promptly and process a refund for any unused hours.
Refund Timeline: All approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method within twenty-one (21) business days.
Outcome-Based Refunds: Refunds will not be issued on the basis of an unfavorable or unsatisfactory outcome. T&F Investigations documents only what is observed in the field and cannot guarantee specific findings or results. Our fee covers professional time and expertise, not a predetermined conclusion.
Complimentary Hours: Any complimentary hours provided to a client as a courtesy will be billed at standard applicable rates in the event that a refund is subsequently requested for the associated service.
GPS Unit Refunds: Refunds for GPS tracking units may be requested and processed, provided the unit has not yet been shipped. GPS unit refunds will be processed within twenty-one (21) business days.
6. Disclaimer of Guarantees
T&F Investigations operates with the highest standards of professionalism and effort. However, we must be transparent with all clients: no specific outcome, result, finding, or conclusion can be guaranteed under any circumstances.
Our investigators will document only what is observed, recorded, or discovered during the lawful course of an investigation.
Investigation results are dependent on many factors outside of our control, including but not limited to subject behavior, environmental conditions, time constraints, and the availability of information.
T&F Investigations does not make any express or implied warranties regarding the results of any service provided.
Please Note: Engaging T&F Investigations means you are retaining the professional time, skill, and effort of our investigators — not purchasing a guaranteed outcome. We are committed to doing our very best on every case.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients play an important role in the success of any investigation. By engaging T&F Investigations, the client agrees to the following responsibilities:
Accuracy of Information: Clients must provide complete, accurate, and truthful information at the time of engagement and throughout the course of the investigation. Misleading or false information may compromise the case and may result in termination of services without refund.
Lawful Use of Findings: All investigative findings, reports, and documentation provided by T&F Investigations must be used solely for lawful purposes. Clients are responsible for ensuring that any use of information complies with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Sole Responsibility for Misuse: Any misuse of information obtained through the services of T&F Investigations is solely the responsibility of the client. T&F Investigations will not be held liable for any consequences arising from the unlawful use of investigative findings.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the liability of T&F Investigations arising from any claim related to services rendered shall be limited to the total fees actually paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to such claim.
T&F Investigations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with the services provided, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable.
This limitation applies to all claims, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.
9. Legal Compliance
T&F Investigations is fully committed to conducting all investigative activities in strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Our practices are guided by the legal framework governing private investigation in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
All investigations are conducted in full compliance with the laws of the State of Missouri, the State of Illinois, and applicable federal law.
T&F Investigations operates under all applicable private investigator licensing requirements and maintains active, valid licensure in Missouri and Illinois.
Clients may not request, direct, or encourage any service or activity that would violate any local, state, or federal law. Any such request will result in immediate termination of the engagement, and no refund will be issued for services already performed.

11. Changes to Terms
T&F Investigations reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice. Your continued use of our services following any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage clients to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
